*skips tutorial* how the fuck do you play this game
“Good-bye is short and final, a word with teeth sharp to bite through the string that ties past to the future.” - John Steinbeck
Oh wow…the only time Jess told her ‘goodbye’…he proceeded to get on a bus and come back.
He only said goodbye when he took its teeth out…made it untrue. Goodbye would mean ‘over.’ And to him, it was never over.
Come to think of it…I’m pretty sure this was a major difference in communication styles between them.
To Rory it was: Didn’t you care about me enough to even say goodbye?
To Jess, it was: I care about you far too much to ever say goodbye.
(And, don’t forget, him *not* saying goodbye was the reason she came to him. Was there maybe at least a small part of him that was hoping history would repeat itself. …and in Truncheon, maybe he thought it had.)
